HR Manager

Office Based – Hadfield, Glossop

An opportunity has arisen for someone to join our company as HR Manager, with ambitious growth plans for this year it will be an exciting time to join us and be part of this journey.

CIPD qualified and with 3 years minimum experience in a HR role would be desirable, however, we are open to considering applicants who do not meet this criteria but can evidence and demonstrate their experience and knowledge.

We are keen for someone to join us working 5 days a week, and the set number of hours could vary from 25 – 38.5 per week, suiting family or other commitments.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer you will manage the whole HR function.  The current staffing level is approx 110.  Responsibilities will include; employee relations; developing, updating and ensuring adherence of company policy and procedure; performance management; developmental support for Managers; full recruitment process from advertising to issuing contract and induction; compliance with GDPR; manage the disciplinary and grievance processes; absence management; collating weekly and monthly payroll information to submit to outsourced payroll bureau.

To be considered for the position, you will need:

  • CIPD qualification and minimum 3 years experience in a HR role would be desirable, however, we are happy to consider applicants who do not meet this criteria but can evidence and demonstrate their experience and knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, problem solving and time management skills
  • Experience in supporting and developing line Managers
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy
  • Strong IT skills
